02 Apr I Canna Believe Its Oils
Most everyone has oil in their cupboard; it’s used for cookies, cakes, pasta, you name it. I’m going to blow your mind. Make a mental list of all the recipes you enjoy that have oil as an ingredient. Now, imagine those recipes can get you high.
CannaOil is a cannabis and oil infusion. It’s made with shatters, budder oil, or most commonly flowers and buds. There is plenty of evidence supporting the use of shatters and budder to create CannaOil, just do your research or talk to someone experienced.
It can truly be used in any recipe and is super easy to make. There are directions that need to be followed, but if you can read you can do it.
Coconut, olive, or canola oil is used. Coconut and olive are the two primary choices, because they have the highest fat content for the THC to bond to. The ratio is two cups of oil to 1-ounce quality marijuana (that ratio will differ when using concentrates).
Fill a saucepan with 1-1/2 inches of water and bring to a boil. Add your coconut/olive/canola oil and bring to a boil. Once you’ve reached boiling add the ground buds/flowers (or measured concentrate) and turn to a low simmer. Simmer for 2.5-3 hours, or until the top of the ingredients becomes thick.
Heat plays a crucial roll in the process, because boiling is said to decrease the amount of THC that will remain in the oil. Just be careful and keep it between a low simmer and a boil.
After the ingredients are thick, strain VERY carefully with cheesecloth, and save the oil in a container.
Now, you’re ready to start cooking. Make sure you know your doses, so check out this link. Oh, and make sure you label your bottle!
